Vientiane

Vientiane is supposedly a quiet and chilled out city. However when we arrived, this is what we saw! Due to a boat racing festival the streets were full of vendors, food stalls music and people!
Jasmine-citrus scenting flowers in Vientiane!

It might seem like a stupid thing to take a picture of, but if you haven't seen a traffic light in well over a month it is quite a spectacle.

Festival!

Statue in the centre next to the Mekong river, with some lao people paying their respects to it.

People doing aerobics in a park.

Local minibus to get to the Buddha Park. The door kept swing open and slam close at every bump.

The Mekong river. On this side Laos, on the other side Thailand.

Monstrous statue at the Buddha Park.

Huge reclining Buddha!

If you were a bus driver and you got hungry while at work, what would you do? Stop the bus and buy a bbq chicken of course!

Lemongrass fish on display at a restaurant.

Due to the curfew most places close before midnight.

Beerlao, def my favourite beer in Asia. Comes in 640 ml bottles!

Wat That Luang, one of the national symbols of Laos.
