Central Vietnam from a motorbike

I tried pottery for the first time. I felt like a giant for the first time.
Em turned out to have quite a talent!

Really old H'mong temple. I think.

Rice pancakes, a Hoi An speciality. You take a sheet of rice paper, and a piece of the yellow rice pancake, and some of the veggies and roll it together and dip it in the spicy fish sauce and eat it with chillies! Yummy!

Up on the mountains we go!

Pit stop to freshen up!

It looks a bit cold, which it wasn't! It was a really warm day and the water was cool but not cold. Best. Swim. Ever.

A few buffaloes had the same idea.

Delicious food again!

On the road again.

Em with her driver mr. Thai.

Wuthering heights!

This is a cinnamon three! I bought a big piece of fresh cinnamon from a village down the road, it is so nice to chew on! My driver mr. Quyen said that it is used as stomach medicine. He told me not to eat too much of it tho, because that "will make number two difficult".

Cute dog begging for food. It didn't get any.

Planing. Where are we going tomorrow?

View from our balcony in peaceful little mountain village P'rao.

Kids were waving at us all the time, we kinda felt like superstars!

Mr. Quyen posing on a bridge.

Banana flower! It is edible but I haven't tried it yet.

Papaya tree.

Oh the beautiful scenery!

Another waterfall. Sigh.

Mud slides made biking a bit tricky at times.

Roadside friends.

Alouie. The clouds came all the way down (up) to the village at dusk and dawn.

Oh yeah and we had lots of great food. Forgot to take pictures...

Em having a smoke break.

Locals looking for gold in the river.

Communist propaganda, I think.

Battle museum in Khe Sanh.

A cargo plane forever overlooking the cloudy mountains.

Home is where you dig it. Inscription in a trench made by US soldier.

Interesting photo montage.

Fruit bargaining at the market in Khe Sanh.

Me and mr. Quyen before saying goodbye...

... and Em and mr. Thai!
