A song inside my head

When I moved in with Sara and Martin last week they played this song for me, and it has been stuck in my head ever since. I actually quite enjoy these moments when you get all hung up on a song or an artist. Hearing an old song that you used to love takes you right back to when you used to love it. It is a time machine in miniature. It makes you want to listen to some music over and over again. It makes you want to hear some music never again. Some songs stands out like landmarks, not necessarily because the song itself meant a lot to you, but because it came to you when something else did. This song will make me come back to Uppsala, and that week when I was living at Djäknegatan and waiting for it to be Saturday.

The title of this blog post, btw, is taken from Oh Laura's debut album "A Song Inside My Head, A Demon In My Bed". Their brilliant song Release Me is the theme song of my first Valborg in Uppsala, spring 2007.
